ANeT-Uni Hardware

The new series Uni is an entirely new conception of hardware for all ANeT products. It uses the Linux operating system, which is a multitask system allowing to process several tasks simultaneously and is optimised for such use. Unlike the other systems, it is not subject to licence fees!!! Linux is an open platform, independent on one manufacturer, and it offers open solutions. It uses bus architecture with individual specialized elements in such a way that printouts suitable for your needs and conditions can be flexibly created.

 

Basic Components:

 

• Proximity card intelligent reader Uni is equipped with a 4x4 keyboard and a backlit 4x20 LCD display. It offers the PIN code entering mode. A bar code reader may be connected to the reader, or it can also work as a retransmitter for the remote control of Uni contacts. The reader may also work as a terminal.The reader has a modern design in a plastic two-part case and is equipped with a switched voltage stabilizer and a detection switch of unauthorized intervention. 

• Control unit Uni controls the other hardware components of the Uni series, such as an intelligent reader Uni, compact sensors Uni, and control/sensing elements Uni. The Uni control unit is equipped with Ethernet interface for connection to LAN, RS485 interface for control of the network of Uni elements, and 1-Wire interface for control of the Uni contact elements. The unit disposes of a powerful control microprocessor with a backed up memory SRAM 16MB.  

 

• Uni Expander serves for supplementation of other control/testing contact elements in the Uni system as required. It can be controlled directly by the Uni control unit up to a distance of 100 m or through the retransmitting function of the Uni reader up to a distance of 1,000 m.
